Anime Zero Traits & Enchants Guide

Auto reroll, trait pity, the new crit traits, enchants and where rerolls come from.

X
Quick answerVerified:
Traits are rolled on the equipped weapon only. Since October 4 you can tick the traits you want and let auto reroll run, and aim the trait pity bar at the Legendary or Mythic trait you want. For enchants, roll Power first. Most rerolls come from codes: 11 current codes give 969 in total.

How trait rerolls work

A trait is a random bonus attached to a weapon. Spending a Trait Reroll replaces the trait on whichever weapon is equipped; the second slot is never touched. The October 4 patch, reported via the Anime Zero Wiki’s copy of the official Discord update log, made the system far less manual:

  • Auto reroll. Tick the traits you are after in the filter list and the game keeps rolling until it hits one. It also stops on any Legendary or Mythic result, so a strong roll is never thrown away.
  • Aimable trait pity. Rerolls build a pity counter, and you choose which Legendary or Mythic trait it guarantees by tapping that trait’s pity bar in the trait index. Check which bar is closest before you aim it.

Trait names

The October 4 patch added four traits: Razor Focus, Overkill, Sniper and Deadeye. Their effect values are not published. No official full trait list exists yet.

One fan wiki (animezeroo.wiki) reports these as traits as well: Supernova, Bloodlust, Hunter, Fortune, Focus, Power, Swift and Vitality. Other fan wikis treat Power, Hunter, Bloodlust and Supernova as enchants instead (see below), so treat this list as reported, not confirmed.

The crit system (October 4)

The new traits feed a reworked crit system. Reported numbers from the same patch:

StatValue
Base crit damage200%
Crit chance cap60%
Crit damage cap275%
Cooldown reduction cap40%
Skill tree crit branch, per node3% / 6% / 10% / 15%
Boss Slayer title+2% crit chance
Boss Reaper title+8% crit damage
Sunglasses accessory+3% damage, +11% crit chance

Because chance is capped at 60%, stacking crit chance from the skill tree, titles, Sunglasses and a crit trait stops paying off once you reach the cap. Past that point, crit damage is the stat to look for.

Enchants

Enchants are a separate roll that adds stats on top of a weapon. The known names are Power, Hunter, Bloodlust and Supernova. The developers have not published values for any of them, so we do not quote numbers.

  • Power raises damage and is the standard first target. One decent damage enchant is enough for Story.
  • Hunter, Bloodlust, Supernova are later chase rolls. Players rate Bloodlust and Supernova above Hunter, but that is community opinion, not an official ranking.

The Anime Zero Wiki and animezero.wiki call these four enchants; animezeroo.wiki lists them as traits. We follow the majority until the game’s own text is confirmed.

The biggest source by far. 11 working codes include trait rerolls, 969 in total:

Not counted: LESSLAG and PATCH1, where some outlets list trait rerolls and others list ordinary rolls. Details on the codes page.

Story trait crystals

Since October 4, winning a Story run has a chance to drop a trait crystal, scaling with difficulty:

  • Easy: 5%
  • Normal: 10%
  • Hard: 20%
  • Nightmare: 40%

Quests and achievements

Daily and weekly quests and achievements pay rerolls; their rewards were raised in the October 4 patch.

The AFK chamber no longer gives trait rerolls. They were removed from its rewards on October 2 (reported by the Anime Zero Wiki).

FAQ

Does rerolling traits affect both of my weapons?
No. A reroll only changes the weapon you have equipped at that moment. Your other slot keeps its trait, so you can test on a spare weapon without touching your main.
Can auto reroll destroy a good trait?
Auto reroll always stops when it lands a Legendary or Mythic trait, even if that trait is not one you ticked, so it will not roll past a top-grade result.
What do Razor Focus, Overkill, Sniper and Deadeye do?
They were added on October 4 alongside the crit rework, but the developers have not published their values. Their names point at crit, which is why they matter with the new crit caps.
Does the AFK chamber still give trait rerolls?
No. Trait rerolls were removed from AFK chamber rewards on October 2. Codes, Story trait crystals and quests are the sources now.
